Not sure which part you need?
Our Davis fault finder starts with what your station is doing, gives you a quick test to try first, and points you to the right part. Plenty of faults turn out to need nothing more than a clean.
Genuine Davis Instruments spare parts for repairing and maintaining Vantage Pro2, Vantage Vue and EnviroMonitor weather stations. Most faults are a single replaceable part rather than a failed station, so a repair usually costs a fraction of a replacement.
Wind cups and vanes, anemometers, rain collector spoons and screens, temperature and humidity sensor boards, transmitter boards, batteries and Complete Tune Up Kits for Vantage Vue and Vantage Pro2 — all supplied direct from our UK stock.
Identifying the right part
Davis part numbers are printed on the component itself or on the inside of the console battery cover. Ordering by part number is always safer than ordering by description, because several parts changed shape between generations — the wind vane for a D-shaped anemometer shaft will not fit a round shaft, and Vantage Pro2 rain collector spoons differ between inch and metric calibration.
Vantage Pro2 parts
The most commonly replaced Pro2 parts are the 6410 anemometer, the wind speed bearing cartridge 7345.953, rain collector tipping spoon kits in both inch (7345.425) and metric (7345.147) calibration, the debris screen 7342-031, the temperature and humidity sensor board, and the wireless ISS transmitter board. Fan-aspirated radiation shield owners can also replace the fan on its own.
Vantage Vue parts
For the Vue we stock the wind vane 7345-297, replacement wind cups, the wind speed cartridge, the rain mechanism 7345-319, the harness assembly PCBA 7345.917 and the battery/rain PCBA. The Complete Tune Up Kit bundles the wearing parts together and is the sensible choice if the station has been outdoors for several seasons.
Batteries and power
Davis consoles and transmitters use a CR123 lithium cell in the ISS and a supercapacitor that buffers the solar panel overnight. A station that drops out after dark, or loses the outdoor reading each morning, is usually a failed supercapacitor rather than a failed sensor — replacing the Super Cap for ISS is a common and inexpensive fix.
Not sure what has failed?
If wind speed has stopped reading but direction still works, or rainfall has stopped counting after heavy weather, call 01243 558280 or use our contact form. Tell us the model and what the console is showing and we will identify the part. See also our Davis sensors and accessories range for complete sensor suites and mounting hardware.
