SpecWare 10 Basic Software
SpecWare 10 Basic is Spectrum's entry-level weather data software, making it easy to download, analyse and produce reports from data collected by your WatchDog data loggers and older-series WatchDog weather stations. It automatically assigns each data logger to its own logger-location directory, which is appended every time you download new data, so you spend less time exporting data and performing calculations in spreadsheets. The package includes a PC interface cable (USB to 3.5 mm stereo pin, item 3661U) and manual, removing the need for a separate USB-to-serial adapter, and requires Windows 98 or later with one free USB port. Basic does not support disease models or the 2000 Series weather stations – for those you can upgrade to SpecWare 10 Pro for custom reports, more communication options and station support. It replaces SpecWare 9 Basic (item SI-3654B9).

The package includes a PC interface cable – USB to 3.5 mm stereo pin (item 3661U) – and a manual, which removes the need for a separate USB-to-serial adapter. It requires Windows 98 or later and one free USB port (serial ports are still supported for existing serial cables). Installation software is downloaded from specmeters.com/software and requires an activation code obtained using your order number. Note that Basic does not support disease models or the 2000 Series weather stations; you can upgrade to SpecWare 10 Pro for custom reports, more communication options and support for those stations and disease models.
