This Integrated Sensor Suite is the replacement sensor array for the Davis Vantage Vue. The fully-integrated, corrosion-proof housing is built to take all the weather your location can give, combining a rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, and an anemometer with wind direction vane into a single compact unit for optimum performance and durability. Designed to minimise visual impact in your garden or on your roof, it restores your Vantage Vue to full working order if the original suite has been damaged or worn. Sensors :

Rain Collector Self-emptying tipping spoon measures rain with 0.2mm resolution.

Anemometer Records wind speeds as low as 2 mph and as high as 150 mph.

Temperature and Humidity Provides outside temperature readings from -40°C to 65°C. Also measures relative humidity from 0 to 100%.

Wind Direction Measures wind direction in compass rose points or degrees.

Dimensions : 329 x 146 x 340 mm

Batteries : 1 x CR123 lithium back up battery included. Ordinarily this should last 2-3 years.

Power : Solar powered

Installation : The design of the composite sensor unit makes for an easy install with the included mounting hardware kit. The outdoor sensor unit does require to be installed on top of a pole for which we recommend either the Davis mounting pole kit or tripod. It is not advisable to install this unit (the sensor suite) at roof top level or on top of a tall pole.

Pleased I opted for a replacement

Beautifully packed. Excellent staff help on the phone.

Clear instructions enclosed.

Helpful previous buyer mentioned the importance of turning off the old unit. Not sure how you do this. But I muddled through that bit. Hopefully this replacement unit will last 10+ years and probably outlive me.

It is costly, but its so nice to have weather informatiopn on hand.

Replacement Davis Integrated Sensor Suite

External weather parameters (Wind speed, wind direction, temperature and humidity etc.) were not received by the Davis Vantage Vue viewing console. A number of potential slutions were forwarded by the Weather Shop which did not rectify the problem, so the Integrated Sensor suite was sent back to the Weather Shop who examined the Sensor Suite and ascertained a replacement was required . As the unit was still within the 3 year guarantee period a new repalcement Sensor Suite was despatched to me free of charge. Well pleased with the attention and service received from the Weather Shop.

Tha Vantage Vue is still the best

This is the second Vantage Vue weather station I have used. The first one lasted 14 years and was consistently accurate and reliable. Comparing it with the new one, the white plastic hadn't even faded and it is good to see that the design is exactly the same. It paired seemlessly with the original console and is working perfectly so far.

The guys at the Weather Shop sent it very quickly and the price was very competitive.

Overall I am very satisfied with the product and the Weather Shop.

Great Service

My original Sensor Suit lost it's transmitter, therefore no data was being sent to the display. The Weather Shop staff helped me diagnose the fault. Following their support I ordered a new Sensor Suit. The unit was quickly dispatched and well packed. Intallation was simple as it was a direct replacement. The new Sensor Suit was soon transmitting data to the display, so back up and running again.

Easy set up

Bought to replace an older unit on which the anemometer had stopped working. Set up was simple and it connected instantly to my display unit. Considering these are exposed to the elements and receive no maintenance from me they perform very well. My last was 8yrs old when it stopped transmitting wind speed. Replacement electronics were available, but the cost didnt make sense. Heres hoping this one lasts just as long.

Replacement

This was a replacement for a Davis sensor suite which has been up for over 10 years and had started to fail (anemometer bearings stiff, no humidity readings). It was easy to replace and worked right away with my Vantage view console after I had set the old one to a different number.

A great weather staion

This unit was to replace an older one with some issues - it was very easy to install and connected to the console quickly. It showed "low battery" for the sensors at first, but it was very dull weather at the time, and the solar cells would struggle to charge. All OK after a couple of days, thank you. An excellent and interesting piece of kit!
