The Bresser 15440 4Cast pairs a 7-in-1 solar-powered outdoor sensor with a 9-inch True Black colour display, using LoRa radio to hold a link at up to 1.5km in open ground. The sensor reads outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity, while the base station adds indoor climate and air pressure. Wi-Fi uploads your readings to ProWeatherLive, Weather Underground and Weathercloud, and pulls back a 24-hour and 14-day local forecast with high and low temperatures and rain probability. Touch controls, a night dimming mode and app-based calibration keep it easy to live with.

LoRa is what sets this station apart from conventional 868MHz garden stations. Where a standard sensor struggles once a wall or a run of trees sits between it and the house, the 15440 keeps reporting at distances of up to 1.5km in clear conditions, which makes it a practical choice for a paddock, allotment, smallholding or an outbuilding well away from the property. The sensor is water-resistant, carries bird spikes to keep the wind cups and rain funnel clear, and runs from a large tiltable solar panel that you can angle to the winter sun.

Indoors, the 9-inch True Black panel puts current conditions, forecast and history on a single screen without the washed-out look of older LCD stations, and the same sensor can feed more than one base station if you want a second display elsewhere in the house. Because the station publishes to ProWeatherLive, Weather Underground and Weathercloud, your data is available on a phone anywhere and contributes to the wider observation network. Optional extra sensors can be added later for indoor rooms or additional measurements.
