Its 7-in-1 outdoor sensor measures wind speed and direction, humidity, temperature, rainfall, UV level and light intensity, transmitting over 868MHz to a 5.7-inch colour console. Connect over WiFi to sync the time automatically and share live data via Weather Underground, Weathercloud and AWEKAS. Detailed readings include UV index with sunburn time, dew point, wind chill, heat index, air pressure and a 12-hour forecast, with a temperature alarm and ice/frost warning to keep you ahead of extremes. The 7-in-1 outdoor sensor reliably transmits wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature, rainfall, UV level and light intensity to the display console over 868 MHz. Current and historical values appear on the 5.7-inch colour display, with your weather forecast for the next 12 hours shown as six graphic symbols.

Connect the console to the internet over WiFi to synchronise the time and date automatically, and to view and share your live weather data on your mobile device, PC or Mac via popular weather websites including Weather Underground (wunderground.com), Weathercloud (weathercloud.net) and AWEKAS (awekas.at). Don't be caught out by weather extremes: an alert can be set to notify you if minimum or maximum temperatures are exceeded, and there is a special frost/ice warning alarm.

The system is expandable – monitor children's bedrooms, a greenhouse and more with up to seven additional temperature & humidity sensors (item no. BR-7009999).

I have had this weather station (WS) 4.5 years and it has lasted better than the previous two I have had.
I have knocked off a star as the mounting system is a bit ugly when attached to a pole but I have to say, the short post supplied has lasted well and not rusted. The plastic of the WS has discoloured a bit.
The WS has been uploading to Weather Underground reliably and the indoor unit has a good, clear display.
The outdoor unit's 3xAA batteries last about 12 months when using good quality alkalines. The low battery warning comes on at about 1.2v per cell. I have just changed the batteries and cleaned the unit, getting rid of spiders' webs in the temperature sensor shield and dirt in the rain bucket.
One observation about the software (version 2.0) is that I have had problems connecting to WiFi after making changes to the settings via the built-in access point. The solution was to manually enter the SSID of the home WiFi even though it appeared in the list of available networks. In addition, whenever the internal settings are accessed, it is necessary to re-enter all the relevant passwords (e.g. WiFi, Weather Underground).
Overall, it a good value basic amateur weather station.

National Geographic 7-in-1 WiFi Weather Station

My second Weather Station, the other one packed up after 18 months so decided to buy a better quality one with a decent guarantee. Saw this model which was similar and ordered from the Weather Shop. Have been using it for 2 weeks now and very pleased. The screen information and the display is very clear to look at and have several options to record the daily data.

The Weather station arrived in good condition. It went together easilly and the instructions on setting the unit up for internet reporting were clear. It all works well. I needed to apply an off set to the pressure readings so that it matched that at my local airfield. It does track the pressure accurately I'm pleased to report.

The sensor unit has three AA dry cells in it which will require changing. This could be awkward depending on where the unit is mounted. Also unpleasant in cold, wet weather. A solar rechargeable battery would have been better.

Works very well.

Great piece of kit. Make sure to turn the base unit on first before the sensor's.

an excellent weather station with a problem setting it up - you need a person who is very familiar with computers and it would be helpful for some explanation of the Evaporisation details,

Good machine, but has proven to be unreliable

A very useful weather station with many features. Setting up to link with a web based weather station has proven to be impossible. Sadly I am now on my 3rd station in 2 years since the previous 2 failed. After service from the weather shop has been excellent.

It works

It was easy to set up. I had to ask for more detailed questions to connect to my router as the provided manual was too brief. Eventually, after several days the base connected to the router and I was then able to set up an account with weather underground. This enables me to check the weather at home from anywhere where I have an internet connection.
