TechnoLine WS 2816 Complete Weather Station with Wireless PC Connection & Weather Alerts

Really Neat Unit and Clear Display.

Went for the Technoline in the hope that the Rain Sensor will last (the one on my Bresser unit failed).

Purchase WS2816 four years and worked flawlessly during that time but Wind sensor just suddenly stopped working did a wind senor reset it came back to life for a day and died even tried the DIY but no luck Battery leakage, So as I cant buy the Wind Sensor on its own Just bought the same station loads of spares its great

Bought this because the first one I purchased is running very well in all respects.

Station running well but having major problems with the link to the computers, it won't stay active, need to do some more testing to try to find out why.

Will be back on to you when I have done the tests.

Excellent system, reasonably priced and easy to use

This is the second of these I have bought and both are not easy to setup. In both cases the wind sensor cannot be seen by the weather station. I now have 2 wind sensors and neither will sync with weather station. HELP

Probably one of the best weather stations around for the price. Easy to install and set up. Thus I was disappointed that after 18 months the thermometer sensor stopped working. But to be fair the complete station was replaced FoC and is working again. Lets hope I have better luck with this one!

The system was easy to set up and has worked faultlessly so far.

All went together fine and worked straight out of the box. Good clear instyructions.

Shame that Technoline don't appear to do a Mac OS version of their software so you can use the wireless function to get the data on an app.

Good traditional weather station giving flexibility on where to locate the various parts. Easy to set up provided the instructions are read and followed. The provided Heavy Weather software gives a simple display on a Windows PC. I loaded my own copy of Weather Display (Build 150) onto the PC also. This I linked to the HW data file and thus obtained the standard WD display showing graphs and detailed data. Well pleased!

GREAT STATION, ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE OLD LACROSSE, THE SAME SETUP PROCEDURE, HAD IT GOING IN MINUTES, JUST A BIT SLOW TO CHARGE UP THE WIND MONITOR BATTERY (24H) OTHERWISE FAULTLESS.

This concept is great and I bought it after discussing my requirements for a weather station with Jacque.

I did have major problems getting it to work and sync. I followed the instructions to the letter several times without any success. I could only get the outdoor temperature to sync.

After several more attempts, following the instructions closely, I gave up.

However an hour or so later I noticed that everything was working.

I now have to find a solid base and location for the rain gauge and dismantle my old device from the mounting pole before fitting the wind speed and direction device.

I had been holding off buying a new weather station as I needed the rain gauge to be separate as in my experience they give false readings if fitted to a pole.

Discussing this with Jacque resulted in me getting the weather station that will work well in the environment I need it to.

This went together well and offers many of the features that only the more expensive products have. The only glitch in the set-up was finding a copy of Heavyweather which worked with Win7 until I found version 1.5.2 which now works fine. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good low cost weather station.

As a Farmer my husband loves to watch the weather forecast. Having this station is wonderful. He can record the rain wind and temperature all in one place. Very pleased with it.

having problems connecting to the PC awaiting replacements ?

Purchased WS2816 last week its up and running did have a problem getting wind and rain sensors to sync to station at first but all sorted so far all readings look correct to me, Have owned other stations before this is my my first with PC wireless and its brilliant

well worth £160 if last more than 3 seasons.

I installed this yesterday and so far it's very good. In comparison to the two Oregon Scientific Weather Stations of roughly the same cost that it replaced, all the parts are far superior in build qaulity. They're a lot more rugged and worked first time out of the box.
