The Boltek LD-350 Long Range Lightning Detector puts a live lightning map on your laptop or desktop, plotting strikes up to 300 miles (480km) away within milliseconds of each strike. Its direction-finding antenna measures strike direction while the receiver estimates distance from signal strength, and it can even differentiate cloud-to-cloud from cloud-to-ground lightning. User-configurable Close Storm and Severe Storm alarms sound on the front panel and your computer, while the Strike Rate Trend Graph shows whether storms are building or fading. Zoom from 16 miles out to 750 miles to focus on the weather that matters. It connects by USB plug-and-play, works with current Windows, and has no online or recurring fees – backed by a one-year parts and labour warranty.

The Boltek LD-350 puts a live lightning map on your laptop or desktop computer. Within milliseconds of a strike the detector beeps and your computer displays the strike location. The LD-350's direction-finding antenna measures strike direction while the receiver estimates distance from received signal strength, and advanced signal processing in software improves distance accuracy by reducing the effects of strike-to-strike variations in energy.

The LD-350 can warn of both close and severe thunderstorms. If a storm is detected closer than a preset distance, or the strike rate exceeds a preset limit, it sounds its internal alarm and activates the computer's alarm tone or WAV notification; both alarm statuses are shown on the front panel and on the map window. Strike rates – Close Strikes per minute and Total Strikes per minute – are plotted for the previous hour on the Strike Rate Trend Graph, so you can easily see whether storms are intensifying or dying out.

Multiple display ranges let you zoom into the region of interest – out to a maximum of 750 miles (1200km) or in as close as 16 miles to view only nearby storms. LD-350 data is live, with no online or recurring charges of any kind.
