The Bresser 7-in-1 ClimateConnect is a smart weather station built for the connected home. At its heart is a single 7-in-1 outdoor sensor that measures wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, rainfall, light intensity and UV – a complete picture of your local conditions from one neat, easy-to-install unit.

What sets it apart is Tuya smart-home integration. Through the free Tuya app you can view live readings anywhere, set high and low alerts, and study daily, monthly and annual graphs, with the ability to download your historical data. Because it speaks the Tuya language, the station can also trigger other Tuya-compatible smart devices around your home, and it works hand in hand with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice access to your weather.

A crisp colour console shows the time and key weather data at a glance, and connects to the internet over your home's 2.4 GHz WiFi. The system is expandable with additional sensors, making it a flexible foundation for anyone serious about monitoring – and automating around – their environment.

Understanding 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi

People often assume that 5GHz is better than 2.4GHz, like comparing 4G with 5G. But this is incorrect. They are designed for different needs.

Many WiFi enabled devices, such as weather stations, utilise the 2.4 GHz band as it offers greater coverage. Unlike tablets, phones, or gaming consoles, these devices consume minimal broadband width and data, making the 2.4 GHz band a more suitable choice due to its longer range. The 5 GHz band, on the other hand, is designed to deliver high speeds, perfect for video streaming and gaming, the trade-off being its coverage is more limited.

All mainstream broadband providers and routers offer dual-band options, allowing you to have both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands activated simultaneously. This feature enables you to configure your devices in the most optimal way, meeting their individual requirements.
