Technoline WS 9132 Weather Forecast Station with Barometric Pressure & Frost Alert

Good machine which does what I want it to do. Only down side is the buttons are all on the back and mine hangs on the wall but not a major problem. Excellent service from the company as well.

As an indicator of outdoor temperatures it is very good.

I bought this to replace a similar one from another supplier that failed to show the outside temperature. This was easy to set up and has a really clear display and all the functions work very well.

The unit was easily paired to the three sensors and it on a scrolling reafing with all three.

If there was a slight grip you cannot see the LED from much of an angle.

Disappointed with this as have to reset the uk time every morning and an alarm keeps going off, so far have not been able to work out how to cancel the alarm. Hence only 3stars.

Very good service from the Weather Shop. Easy to compare models, easy to order and the arrival was swift. The model we purchased was pretty straightforward to set up - once we found the magnifying glass in order to read the tiny print in the instruction manual! Slightly irritating is that the display isn't lit so anytime you want to see it you have to turn a light on. In the photo of it, it looks lit up.

OK but instructions are very small print and controls for dsplay rather small.

This was a replacement for an initial purchase that had some problems. The new one is working perfectly and we are grateful for the prompt "no quibble" service.

For a similar price there are other weather stations that offer more weather information and are more accurate in my opinion.

Although the initial setup seemed easy enough, the next morning contact was lost with the outdoor sensor.

It took a lot of effort to get the units 'talking' to each other again.

Also some joker had set the alarm ex factory thus a rude wake up the very first morning ( my bad, I should have checked this).

All in all I would not buy an unit like this again, in my opinion there are very better weather stations on the market.

Delivery from The Weather Shop was fine, the unit is neat but I had to copy and enlarge the Instructions before they became readable. The weather station was purchased to replace a failed outdoor sensor on an old Oregon Scientific unit, this used the UK time signal. My comments and comparisons are with that old unit.

Being smaller, AAA batteries in the display unit will last for less time than AA’s, I regret that. (The outdoor unit uses AA’s.) Set up was reasonably straightforward, but the unit only found the time signal on my third attempt. I was then able to offset the clock to UK time.

I don’t know what I did to lock in UK time, rather than CET, but I did. The symbol showing it is receiving the time signal goes once UK time is offset. However, it came back when the clock checked the signal overnight. In use the main niggle is that the outdoor Max/Min display is operated by pressing a button on the back of the unit, thus effectively requiring the unit be kept on a window cill etc, rather than hung on a wall. Also the max/min record has to be cancelled by a long press of the button, I prefer the Oregon Scientific system of resetting each 24 hrs, but I did know that was the case, (after an email exchange with the Weather Shop). These niggles mean a 4, rather than a five.

This is my 2nd Technoline 9132 Weather Station. I rely on it for outdoor temperature particularly, so I can dress accordingly when going dog-walking. The previous one stopped working properly after 2 years - which is why I've only given 4 stars - so hopefully this will last longer.

Work fine and reliable

Very good product apart from the time function which automatically resets to German time every day despite my manual reset. I cannot fins any information on how to fix this problem.

Pleased with weather station. Took a day or two to get the current time set but friend got it in the end for me.

Very pleased with the weather station. The only thing I had trouble with was the font size of the instructions............very small.

The outdoor sensor readout is reliable, which is a major feature for me, however the time indication will only lock to German time, even after going through the offsetting procedure many times. Am I doing something wrong? I followed the instructions in the booklet, (which has very small type), and repeated this a number of times but it always reverts to German time. This is not satisfactory.

I also find the display contrast rather low and angle dependant.

After the delivery problems and associated delay I am sad that I have not experienced the full satisfaction I hoped for.

Sorry to be a grouse. If you can tell me if I need to do something different to get round the German time issue I would be much happier.

It was a Christmas present for my husband , we have it up and running. Marvellous present.

The weather station is ok, but not as good as my previous Oregon Scientific model.

The instruction booklet is ridiculously small and although I dont wear glasses I needed reading glasses plus a magnifying glass to read them!!

It does not have a backlight

Setting time-zone in clock not intuitive and not covered in documentation, but worked out eventually. Can't see any facility to set DST, or whether its automatic? Set station and sensor next to each other for several days, after which they were still reading 1.5C differently.

very pleased with it ,the only negative thing is it is showing british summer time we expected it to have changed

Good customer service and delivery. Product easy to set up and does all it said it would! Looks to be very well made and should be durable. Very happy with product and service.
