Ocean Controls KTA-382P Modbus RTU/TCP PoE Weather Station Gateway
The Ocean Controls KTA-382P combines the features of the previous KTA-282 and GWY-141 models and connects a Davis Instruments weather station to a Modbus network, supporting both TCP and RTU protocols. This PoE (Power over Ethernet) version draws power over the network cable for simpler installation. Connecting via the Davis WeatherLink (Vantage Pro Serial) cable, it joins the network as a Modbus TCP/IP or RTU slave so your PLC, RTU or SCADA system can monitor and act on wind speed, wind direction, temperature and more. It is compatible with the cabled and wireless Vantage Pro 2 and Vantage Pro 2 Plus weather stations. A non-PoE version is also available as the KTA-382S.

The KTA-382 Modbus gateway enables easy connection of a PLC, RTU or SCADA system by Modbus RTU or TCP to a Davis weather station. It connects to the station's console via the Davis WeatherLink cable (WeatherLink for Vantage Pro Serial) and joins the Modbus network as a Modbus TCP/IP or RTU slave, so your SCADA system or other Modbus devices can monitor and take action based on wind speed, wind direction, temperature and more. This is the PoE (Power over Ethernet) version, drawing power over the network cable.
