The banjo barometer with clock combines four instruments in one mahogany, walnut or oak case — barometer, thermometer, hygrometer and clock. Station clocks and dial sizes
The station clock style comes from British railway platforms, where dials were designed to be read quickly from a distance. That makes it ideal outdoors, where you are usually glancing across a garden rather than standing in front of the clock. Around 30cm suits a doorway, porch or small patio. From 45cm to 58cm reads clearly across a garden or driveway.

Marine and tide clocks
Brass bulkhead clocks are built to marine specification, with solid cast cases and heavy glass. Tide clocks are different again — rather than showing the time of day, they track the tidal cycle of roughly 12 hours 25 minutes, indicating high and low water at a glance. They need setting once against a known high tide for your local area.
