When choosing an LED bulb, we all have the same opinion that all LED’s have a cold feel and this is a major factor why people choose old incandescent, due to the warm feel they give off. This would be the case with old LED bulbs, however after great manufacturing techniques, new LED bulbs now come in a variety of different colour temperatures.

All LED bulbs can be measured as a number on the Kelvin scale; a number followed by the symbol “K”. All our LED’s will have this shown.

Warm White bulbs (2700k) - Most common colour used in domestic homes. Perfect replacement for an old incandescent bulb or halogen bulb.

Cool White bulbs (4000k) - Commonly used in bathrooms or kitchens, as they are a much brighter white, often seen as a more “blue white”. Great option if you want a room to give off a more modern feel.

Daylight” bulbs (6500k) - Commonly used in commercial areas. An “overcast day” best describes the light that emits from “daylight” LED bulbs.
