How to setup your station to your WiFi home network using your mobile phone. This page is for both ACCUR8 DWS7100 & DWS5100 models.

If you're having a bit of difficulty connecting your WiFi to your home network using a mobile device, don't worry! This quick and easy guide will help you set it up and get everything running smoothly in no time.


Turn Off Mobile Data:

Begin by temporarily turning off the mobile data on your phone. This is a crucial step as the process will not work otherwise. So, navigate to your phone's settings and switch off the mobile data.


Setup the Weather Station:

Next, prepare the weather station for connection. This is done by holding in the min/max button on the station until it beeps. Now, the station should be ready for you to connect it to your WiFi.


Connect Phone to Weather Station:

To do this, turn on your phone's WiFi and look for the network ACCU8 from the list of available networks. This is your weather station's network which you should select and connect with.


Home WiFi Connection Setup:

Once connected to the weather station's network, open an internet browser on your phone. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.5.1 and press enter. This will load a page directly from the weather station.

On the loaded page, choose your home WiFi network and enter the corresponding password for your network. If the connection is successful, you'll notice a 'Connected' status display and the symbol on the weather station will stop flashing. After ensuring a successful connection, press 'Save'. This means your weather station can now log onto your home wifi and send the data to the internet.


Add Website Connection Details:

You will also see on the same page that below your WiFi network settings options there is a "Weather server setup" add your connection details for the websites you want to use "Weather wunderground.com and weathecloud.net. Input the ID & Keys from your accounts, this allows the station to log into your online accounts on these websites and upload the weather station data to them.

Finally, keep in mind that these steps are a one-time process. The station will retain the settings even if it's turned off for an extended period. However, you will need to repeat this process if you change your home WiFi password in the future.
